Here is a Smart Lock installation that we recently completed on a Commercial Door in Panama City Beach. The Smart Lock system utilizes the Dormakaba Saffire Evo VR platform, with a surface-mounted Dorma 9300 Panic Bar. This install was on an aluminum frame storefront door that previously had a basic pull handle and keyed deadlatch.

With the Saffire Evo VR lock system, this business owner is able to manage the entire system remotely. The lock connects directly to the office WiFi network, avoiding the need for a costly door controller and physical wiring. The codes can be set remotely to function according to a schedule appropriate for each employee.
If desired, additional credential methods can be activated, enabling team members to use an RFID fob or their phone to operate the lock. Importantly, the office's management team can review an audit log to review exactly which codes were used and when – all without being at the office in person!
